Izzy- The newest member of our family.

S & I have been talking about getting another Boston terrier for awhile. Abby is just so active that we feel that she needs a friend for when we are not home. After months of consideration over wheather to adopt a Boston or buy one we decided to buy a pup. Although I'm a huge fan of rescue pets, I found that to get a full blooded Boston you have to go through a rescue group most of the time. This is not a bad thing, but the fees that are being charged for a rescue (most of which still have to be trained) are very comperable to buying a pup. Also, the adoption process is ver drawn out & detailed. Not that that is a bad thing either. I understand that they just want to make sure the dog is getting the best of homes, but quit honestly I just found it to be too big of a pain in the butt. So I started looking for a female pup. I didn't want one that came from a "breeder". meaning someone who makes a living off of breeding dogs & has multiple animals. Most of which A: do not get the best vet care (vet bills cut into profit) & B: the parents are usually locked in cages or kennels & do not get socialization. I do not think that this is the right way to treat such great animals. I was looking for someone who had a Boston as a pet & decided to breed her. Well that is very hard to find. So I posted an add on a free local internet trading post that we have. & got a call the same day from someone in Seguin that had a first litter of 7 yes 7 pups, 3 boys 4 girls. She emailed me pics & a few days later we went to look at them. The mom & dad were both pets of the family & were inside dogs, very social, & about the size of Abby. And, they only had 1 more dog, a Lab. So since I couldn't find anymore situations like this to get a pup from, we chose one of the little females. She will be old enough for us to bring home on 4/27. Her name is Izabel Grace, but we will call her Izzy for short. Shelby came up with Izabel. Here are some updated photos that they sent me today.
